What a great day! I am grateful for my kids and husband and anti-depressants. (I never thought I would EVER say that...) They have all helped me through the holiday season. I miss my mom very much--I wish more than anything to have her with me, in my house, laughing at my kids, and loving us all. She is missed so much. I just can't believe I have to keep going through life without her around. It doesn't seem fair on so many levels.
I love my sisters so much and wish them a great Christmas today. I love all of their sweet kids and pray that God will take care of all of us as we move through this crazy life. I wish we all lived closer!
I'm excited to prepare for a new year. I'm picking up a new resolution for my Happiness Project in January. I'm working on a music schedule for the kids at GHACS and my own piano students. And we're going to be figuring out how to fund Andy's PA program that begins in May. Lots to do! Lots to do! I'm looking forward to some new challenges! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Relaxation Time!
Wow! I must really be feeling relaxed if I forgot to post on Sunday! We had a very successful week last week. The piano recital was awesome, the musical at Ethan's school went off without a hitch, the brunch on Saturday was very productive, and Ethan rocked his TKD test on Sunday. I am breathing a sigh of relief knowing that we can relax this week and have a fun time. We also got some good news yesterday about Andy and his PA program: he's in!!! We're very excited to see where this new adventure takes us. I'm feeling less and less anxiety and I'm very grateful for that! We're half way through the week and I still have fun things to plan. Can't wait for Christmas this weekend!!!

Two down, four to go!
We had two fun activities this past week: I got to set up a beautiful tabletop for the girl's night out at our church last Friday. And of course, because we were also playing Bunco and eating too much, I forgot to take pictures. I even brought my camera but still didn't remember. I did take some at home when I was practicing setting it up so at least I have those. Ethan also had a Christmas concert with a preschool in the area that same night so Andy was able to get the night off and take the kids to that. He said it was a success! This week we have four activities: a piano recital, a Christmas musical program at GHACS, a brunch at Lois's for the upcoming year and Ethan's final TKD test of the year. I'll have much to report next week. Hopefully then I can take a deep breath and relax!! Then it will be time to wrap presents! FUN!

December 2011: Enjoy the Holiday Fun!!!
I've decided to take somewhat of a "break" this month from actually doing something tangible for my happiness project. I've been so busy getting ready for Christmas among everything else I do during the days and weeks. We have at least two activity/program/performance commitments every week this month! Busy time! I'm enjoying the fun posts from my favorite blogs on Facebook, giving me great ideas for the month. Too bad I won't be able to even do half of them! There are so many talented and amazing people out there with such great ideas. I've also been having fun on Pinterest with all the great ideas there.
My resolution for this month is to fully enjoy the activities we have planned and enjoy the ride that comes along with it. My kids are only little once and I want to treasure every special time we have. I'll be writing each week about the fun things we've done. I pray that everyone has a blessed Christmas this year!
