August: Clear the Physical Clutter

Happy August!  How I love to turn the calendar to a new month!  My resolution for this month's happiness project is to clear the physical clutter.

"Clutter is stuck energy".  -Kingston

Here's my list of things to do for the month.  I have them all mapped out on my resolution chart throughout the month so I'll be posting each week again to update my progress:

*Get a Washington driver's license  (I've been here for over three years and I still have my Utah driver's license...pretty sure that's illegal.)
*Buy the kids school clothes and supplies
*Send Olivia's baby clothes to Emily for new baby girl Kawa!
*File the stack of paperwork that is overflowing from my shelf at the top of the stairs!
*Have a yard sale  (yikes!)
*Take any left-over stuff to the Salvation Army
*Take my bag of mending to my favorite seamstress up the road

Some of these things are jobs that I've just been putting off forever and August seems like a great time to get that kind of stuff done.  Once September comes and we get back into a school schedule, it will feel great to have all of those odds and ends done.  Wish me luck!

  1. Love all the things you want to do.... Especially sending me some cute clothes! :) But I am with you on how nice it is to turn to a new month. I look forward to that! And I really need to do some major filing as well! My pile is getting a little scary! I love reading your blog. It is inspiring to me. Love you lots sis. And can't wait to see what you can accomplish!

  2. You can show me your nicely filed shelf at the end of the month. ;) I think this will be a nice month for you, and so tangibly rewarding too!
