Well, I didn't do very well in keeping up with listening to some kind of classical music every day this week but when I did, it was good! Classical music is such a deep part of who I am. Learning music history in my teenage and college days became one of my favorite areas of study. I remember wanting to visit my favorite composer's places of birth and discover where they lived and worked. I got to do some of that when I visited London back in the early 90's. Having classical music available to listen to and play is truly a gift. I am grateful to my mom, my piano teachers, and general music teachers for always encouraging me to listen to classical music. I was able to learn a great deal of classical music on the piano as well; most of which is still in my fingers to this day! I feel blessed to have such a great musical background. It's priceless!
(The composer in the picture is Rachmaninov--one of my favorites to hear and play!)
